Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere faces a race to be fit in time to face Stoke City in the Premier League on Sunday, April 1 after withdrawing from the England squad with a knee injury, reports the Independent

Three Lions head coach Gareth Southgate confirmed Wilshere returned to Arsenal for treatment, but now the 26-year-old is a doubt to be fit for the Gunners’ next outing.
Arsene Wenger’s side welcome Stoke City to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on April 1 and can’t afford to lose key players from the squad given how inconsistent they’ve been this season.
Wilshere’s absence could hamper them in their fruitless pursuit of a top-four place but also in his chances of making England’s World Cup squad this summer.
His last appearance for the Three Lions was during Euro 2016 as England bowed out in the knockouts to Iceland.
The midfielder was determined to prove his injury troubles were behind him, but now he’s missed a big opportunity to get himself back in the England squad and could be absent for Arsenal unless he makes a speedy recovery.
