Arsene Wenger says he would consider another managing another side after he leaves Arsenal. The 68-year-old signed a two-year contract extension last summer, but reports suggest he could call time early with how disappointing the Gunners have been in the last 18 months.

Wenger’s advancing age hints that his exit from Arsenal would also be a retirement from managing, but the Frenchman refuted such claims and says he could yet take charge of another club before he considers leaving coaching for good.

“Yes, of course (I want to manage after Arsenal), as long as I have the physical strength and the desire to do it. I know that depends on my physical status and how well I am mentally. It’s a decision I’ll have to make at some stage,” Wenger told beIN SPORTS, reports Football London.

Wenger has taken a lot of flak after Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League last season, resulting in them missing out of Champions League this campaign. Supporters have called for his head, but he’s always been defiant in his response that their opinions aren’t based on his whole Arsenal tenure but a small portion of it.

“At the moment I live in the present and I just want to do as well as I can for my club and I don’t worry too much what happens to me. You don’t stay 22 years at a club the stature of Arsenal without a total complete commitment and the sacrifice of your life.

“That will not change today until the end of the season, until the end of my contract, if I can I will do that. After I don’t know what I will do.”

Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League table with 48 points from 30 games, 13 points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. The Gunners are 33 points behind leaders Manchester City but their recent form has been an improvement – three consecutive wins in all competitions ahead of their next league meeting.
