According to The S*n, Manchester United and Juventus are both still interested in Aaron Ramsey. The Arsenal midfielder is out of contract is less than 18 months and has yet to agree terms on a new deal.

Ramsey remains a regular for the Gunners and an integral part of the midfield, but his future remains uncertain as his deal runs down to its final year. The 27-year-old has suitors keen to take him away from the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal should fear of losing the Welsh international as a result.

Manchester United have a real need for a midfielder as they could be losing up to four players from the engine room this summer.

Michael Carrick is retiring, Marouane Fellaini is out of contract in three months, Ander Herrera has been out-of-favour and linked with AC Milan while Paul Pogba is unhappy, has fallen out with Jose Mourinho and is a target for Real Madrid.

United’s interest in Ramsey should be taken very seriously, especially given how they nearly beat Arsenal to his signature in 2008. Arsenal will take some solace from Ramsey’s loyalty, however, as the midfielder hasn’t made any suggestion of wanting to leave.

The last update Ramsey gave on the situation was that the club hadn’t tabled an offer, rather than him not signing it. Why wouldn’t Arsenal tie down such an important player for the long-term?

No contract extension being agreed will see more and more clubs come out of the woodwork to register an interest, potentially unsettling the midfielder in the process.

Arsenal need to hash out his future sooner rather than later.
