Michael Owen is certain Arsenal will avoid a potential slip when they host Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal have managed to bounce back from a poor start to the 2017-18 season thanks to a return of seven points from three Premier League games in September so far.

Arsenal battle to a goalless draw with Premier League holders Chelsea in their last away fixture following defeats at Stoke city and Liverpool in August.

We have beaten Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion in two of our last three EPL fixtures to hoist up to seventh place in the EPL table.

Brighton, meanwhile, were 1-0 winners against Newcastle United last weekend and to get their second win of the season and move Chris Hughton’s men further clear of the relegation zone.

However, the ex-Liverpool striker Owen doesn’t expect the newly promoted Premier League side to cause an upset against us when we welcome them to The Emirates on Sunday.

“Brighton were fortunate to beat Newcastle at the weekend and I expect Chris Hughton’s side to be outclassed at The Emirates,” Owen told BetVictor.

“The Gunners have a terrific record in home fixtures against lesser sides in the top-flight, beating West Brom 2-0 in North London on Monday, and should likewise complete another comfortable home win at the weekend.”

Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in the Champions League.

The Gunners signed Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac in the summer transfer window.
