The positive start of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be undergoing the crucial litmus test on Monday as the Gunners will be locking horns against the champions Liverpool at Anfield.
Liverpool will be aiming to strike back from their recent blues at the hands of Arsenal. The Reds lost at the hands of Arsenal in the Community Shield, while they were also the second best in last season’s tie at the Emirates post lockdown. Hence, it will be redemption time for Jurgen Klopp and his boys against the high-flying Arsenal side, who have started the season with four wins in four matches. With the goal scoring form of Mane and Salah at the moment, the Reds will definitely be expecting to expose the Arsenal defense, as they have done in recent past. New signings Thiago and Diogo Jota will also be expecting to get a crack of Arsenal as the duo have had a positive start to life at the Merseyside.
The Gunners, on the other hand, will be desperate to break their Anfield hoodoo, a stadium where they haven’t won since 2012. Arteta has inspired his troops drastically after the arrival, but it will be a massive test for them against Liverpool, especially as their away record against top teams is extremely worrisome. Alexandre Lacazette has netted twice in two league games, while Eddie Nketiah is also in form. But Arteta will be worried with his defense as they had some shaky moments against West Ham.
Team News and Injuries:
Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp will be missing the services of Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joel Matip due to injuries. Joe Gomez is also doubtful with a knee problem.
Arsenal: For the Gunners, Kieran Tierney is a doubt as the Scottish left-back is struggling with a hip problem. Pablo Mari, Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel Martinelli and Calum Chambers are still recovering from their past injuries. In terms of the selections of Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi, it is increasingly looking like the duo won’t play any part at Anfield.
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson; Thiago, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Mane, Salah, Firmino
Arsenal: Leno; Bellerin, Gabriel, Hodling, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Ceballos; Aubameyang, Willian, Saka; Lacazette
Liverpool vs Arsenal Head to Head:
Liverpool have got the better of Arsenal in the last few years. The Reds won 3-1 at Anfield last season, and a 5-1 victory the season before. But the Gunners came away victorious in their last league meeting at the Emirates with a 2-1 scoreline.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Prediction:
Liverpool have had a perfect start to the season, so has Arsenal. But our prediction for the match on Monday is Liverpool 1- 2 Arsenal.
Although Jurgen Klopp’s men are favorites given the history, but we believe Arsenal will snick in a narrow victory at Anfield on Monday.
