Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has played down talk of manager Massimiliano Allegri leaving to join Arsenal or Paris Saint-Germain this summer, reports the Metro.

“Allegri has a contract with us for many years. The relationship with him is excellent, we are still one of the most important clubs in the world and there are no indications [he wants to leave] so it’s not a problem for us,” he told ANSA.

Allegri is leading Juventus to another Serie A title this season, with the Old Lady recently moving top of the table following wins against Udinese and Atalanta before being held to a draw by SPAL 2013.

Juve are two points clear at the summit after 29 games, having lost just twice all campaign. The defending champions are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, beating Tottenham Hotspur in the last-16, but the future of the manager is still being speculated about.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly planning to axe Unai Emery after another failed Champions League showing, with Allegri named as a potential suitor for the 46-year-old.

Arsenal could be parting company with Arsene Wenger this summer, forcing the hierarchy to sound out a replacement. Allegri is one of many names on their shortlist.

The 50-year-old Italian coach won the Serie C1 with Sassuolo in 2007/08, the Serie A with AC Milan in 2010/11 and three top-flight titles with Juventus in 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17.

Allegri has won the Serie A Coach of the Year award three times and could have a lot of clubs keen on his signature given the fine work he’s done in Turin. Juve want to keep him at the club, however.
