According to The S*n, Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is ‘furious’ with manager Arsene Wenger after losing his place in the starting line-up against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

The 22-year-old was reportedly in training for a number of days leading up the Brighton meeting and was bitterly disappointed to only make the bench, with Calum Chambers starting at right-back in his stead.

Bellerin has still featured in every single Premier League game for Arsenal this season, but he’s managed just seven minutes of playing time over the weekend.

As a result, his long-term future at the Emirates has been questioned, amid links to Barcelona. The S*n’s report suggests there may have been a fallout between the player and manager Arsene Wenger too.

Bellerin reportedly believes he’s being made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s failings this season and asked Wenger about his future at the club. Signed from Barcelona as a youth player in 2011, the Spanish international has gone on to make over 150 appearances in all competitions.

He asked to leave Arsenal last summer when Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus were paying him an interest, and his future remains uncertain while the relationship between player and manager is frosty.
