Barcelona are looking to allow supposed Arsenal target Arda Turan leave Nou Cam in January, according to reports.
The midfielder is completely out of favour at Barcelona and could soon be on the move.
According to Turkish Football, the La Liga giants boss Ernesto Valverde is hoping to make changes to his squad in January and has told the Turk he will not be a part of his plans.
Turan, though, is said to be happy with the Catalan giants despite his lack of playing time and would only move to the Premier League.
That seems likely to happen, as the one club he’s been linked with the most in the Premier League is Arsenal.
In fact, it was only last week, that there were reports claiming the Gunners had tried to sign him in the summer but a deal, for whatever reason, didn’t go through despite the north London club making an offer.
The 30-year-old joined Barcelona in 2015 from Atletico Madrid and he has been a key player since.
Nowadays, Turan’s barely that. The former Atlectio Madrid star hasn’t made a single appearance under Valverde. Turan couldn’t even get a game in the Copa del Rey against lower league opposition.
In hindsight, Arda Turan doesn’t appear to be the most attractive transfer targets, and I’d hope Arsenal is looking at younger and more exciting options.
