Arsenal are set to face strong competition from Inter Milan if they wish to sign German international forward Marco Reus, according to Transfermarketweb.

Arsenal, who defeated newly promoted Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium before this week’s international break, have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund winger ahead of the January transfer window.

Reus, who has 29 internatioanl caps for Germany, has failed to feature for the Bundesliga champions so far this seaosn due to a serious knee injury, after tearing his cruciate ligament during last season’s German Cup final.

The 28-year-old is not expected to be back in action until at least 2018, Reus has bagged 89 goals in 189 outings for Dortmund overall since arriving the club from Weiss Ahlen back in 2009.


However, report suggests Serie A giants Inter Milan are als interested in the left winger ahead of Ney Year transfer market, but also mentioned Arsenal are still tracking the German star and his subsequent recovery process.

Reus is under contract until June 2019, but could be ship out for around €40m in January.
