According to the Mirror, Arsenal will be without Nacho Monreal and Alexandre Lacazette for Sunday’s trip to face Brighton & Hove Albion. Sead Kolasinac and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are both likely to start in the duo’s absence.

Monreal has been a key player for the Gunners this season, making 23 Premier League appearances, scoring and creating six goals. The 32-year-old has made 50 tackles and 53 interceptions and has been somewhat of an unsung hero.

Lacazette started his Arsenal career well following his summer move from Olympique Lyonnais, scoring four goals in his first six appearances, but things have spiralled ever since.

The French international has managed just one goal since early December and Aubameyang’s January arrival has seen him fall down the pecking order, racking up just 25 minutes of game time in Arsenal’s last three league outings.

Arsene Wenger’s men need all the help they can get ahead of this weekend’s clash with Arsenal currently sitting sixth in the table after 28 matches. The London side are 30 points adrift of leaders Manchester City and are 10 points away from the Champions League spots.

Brighton are the form side going into Sunday’s encounter at the Amex Stadium too, so only time will tell if Arsenal’s injuries harm their chances of a result.
