November could be a pivotal month for Arsenal as they bid to put a few sticky performances firmly behind them.
The Gunners have suffered a hangover from their recent defeat at Sheffield United, struggling to overcome Vitoria de Setubal in the Europa League before blowing a two-goal lead against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Although they look well-placed to progress in Europe, Unai Emery’s side are already 12 points adrift of Liverpool in the title race. Read on as we preview Arsenal’s November fixtures.
Wolverhampton Wanderers (H) – November 2
Arsenal took just a point off Wolves last season, but they are 7/10 favourites to record a victory on Saturday.
The are likely to be plenty of Ladbrokes new customers willing to back Arsenal at what look to be generous odds, particularly when you consider their record against Wolves.
Their 3-1 defeat at Molineux back in April was the first time they had been beaten by the Midlands outfit since 1979 and they will fancy their chances of recording a victory this weekend.
Vitoria de Setubal (A) – November 6
Arsenal needed two late goals by substitute Nicolas Pepe in the first meeting between these two sides to maintain their 100% record in the Europa League.
Having triumphed 3-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening game in the group, Arsenal will be confident of getting a positive result in Portugal.
Their opponents are without a point in Group F after three games and the Gunners look a good bet at Evens to continue their winning ways in Europe.
Leicester City (A) – November 9
Arsenal have lost on their last two visits to the King Power Stadium and they could find things tough when they travel to face the Foxes on November 9.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are sitting comfortably in the top four and were in devastating form as they smashed nine goals past Southampton in their most recent outing.
The draw is priced at 5/2 and that would probably represent a decent day’s work for Arsenal against a team who continue to impress.
Southampton (H) – November 23
Arsenal return to action after the international break with what should be an easy assignment against the struggling Saints.
The Gunners triumphed 2-0 in the corresponding fixture back in February and it would be no surprise to see a similar scoreline this time around.
The South Coast side were woeful against Leicester and seem set for a prolonged battle against relegation this season.
Arsenal v Eintracht Frankfurt – November 28
Goals from Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured an impressive 3-0 win for Arsenal in the reverse fixture.
However, they would do well not to underestimate the threat posed by the German side who have won both their subsequent outings.
Frankfurt reached the semi-finals of the Europa League last season and could prove troublesome at the Emirates Stadium.
