Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has played down talk of him replacing Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager this summer, insisting he’s happy in Turin where he has two more years left on his current deal, reports the Daily Star.

Wenger is rumoured to be on his way out of Arsenal this summer, with the Gunners out of the Premier League title race, out of the FA Cup and out of the League Cup. Unless they win the Europa League, Arsenal will be enduring a trophyless campaign without Champions League football to show for it.

Allegri is one of many names reportedly on a shortlist, but he played down talk of a move away from Juventus, saying: “No, because I have a contract until 2020.” The Italian coach has been in charge since 2014, winning three Serie A titles, three Coppa Italias and two Champions League runner-up medals.

Thierry Henry, Leonardo Jardim, Paul Fonseca, Joachim Low, Carlo Ancelotti, Brendan Rodgers and Mikel Arteta have also been named as potential Wenger replacements, but it’s currently unknown which manager will get the nod.

It’s also unknown when Arsenal’s long-serving boss will leave the club. He’s spent 22 years in charge of the Gunners and has just under 18 months remaining, but the Gunners’ demise this season might force him out one year before his deal expires.
