Arsenal are ready to dominate the Premier League
Since the Premier League was launched in 1992, the title has been retained on 11 occasions. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are the only teams to achieve the feat.
The Gunners’ success last season was achieved on the back of a lengthy rebuild, which was initially triggered in December 2019.
Mikel Arteta’s appointment was a reset for a club which had failed to win the Premier League title since the historic 2003/04 season.
While Arteta won the FA Cup at the end of his first season in charge, it was clear that Arsenal needed to revamp their squad to become challengers in the league.
Manchester City had a significant head start on Arsenal in terms of squad building, which helped them win four consecutive titles from 2020 to 2024.
However, a €1 billion outlay on new players over the past five years ultimately helped Arsenal return to the top of the Premier League tree.
The challenge now is to build on the foundations they have laid and embark on a period of dominance that matches what other clubs have achieved.
