Bukayo Saka addresses Arsenal future ahead of planned contract talks

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has sent the fans an exciting message after subtly hinting at a contract extension ahead of planned talks with the club.

The 23-year-old has established himself as the Gunners talisman and an indispensable part of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

With his contract set to run out in the summer of 2027, speculation began to grow about his future, but the winger has moved quickly to reassure the fans of his commitment to the club.

Arsenal are planning to open contract talks with Saka, and after his recent comments, fans can rest assured that the England international will pledge his allegiance to the club.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Real Madrid at Emirates Stadium, Saka was asked if he could reassure fans about his future.

He said (via The Standard): “I want to win, and I want to win wearing this badge.

“It is pretty clear – the fans know how much I love them. You saw when I came on on Tuesday, they love me back. So it is a good relationship.

“I am really happy to be here, and I am focused on winning. I don’t think anyone is really in a rush. I have got two years left on my contract, so it’s pretty relaxed.

“Everyone knows my thoughts, and I’ve let you guys know as well, so I don’t think there is much else really.”

Saka has become even more influential for Arsenal since he signed his previous £200,000-a-week contract in May 2023.

His message couldn’t have come at a better time, with Arteta’s side gearing up for a gargantuan Champions League clash against Madrid.

Saka has been a huge miss for Arsenal since his injury setback.

Their Premier League title dreams have gone up in flames, although the Gunners still hold out slim hopes of overtaking Liverpool with seven games remaining.

The Champions League could be Arsenal’s last shot at silverware this season.

Saka marked his return with a goal against Fulham and will hope to inspire the Gunners to victory over the reigning champions.
