Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made two changes to the starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on the road.
The Gunners picked up maximum points in the opening two league games before sharing the spoils against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.
Ahead of today’s north London derby, Arteta has made a couple of changes from the 1-1 draw against the Seagulls before the international break.
David Raya has been in tremendous form in goal with fantastic saves. He won the Save of the Month award for August for his sublime stop versus Aston Villa.
The Spaniard will continue in goal for the Gunners.
It will be the same back four. Ben White and Jurrien Timber will continue in the full-back positions with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.
In midfield, there are two enforced changes with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard unavailable. Rice is suspended while Odegaard is nursing an ankle sprain.
Jorginho will replace Rice in the centre of the park and will partner Thomas Partey. Kai Havertz will drop into the central attacking midfield role to compensate for Odegaard’s absence.
Further forward, Bukayo Saka starts on the right wing with Gabriel Martinelli returning to the XI on the left flank. Leandro Trossard will lead the attack for the Gunners.
Gabriel Jesus has returned to the squad after his groin problem, but Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko are sidelined for the London derby with calf injuries.
Raheem Sterling could make his Gunners debut off the bench at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Tottenham: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Partey, Jorginho, Havertz; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.
