Manchester City handed injury scare ahead of Arsenal game as Erling Haaland is seen limping out of Norway training today

Manchester City have been handed an injury scare ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal on March 31 after Erling Braut Haaland was seen limping out of Norway training earlier this afternoon.

The injury does not look too bad but the striker could not continue the session today and was seen grimacing in pain.

Norway face the Czech Republic on Friday and Slovakia next Tuesday and it will be interesting to see whether Haaland plays in the games.

Arsenal visit Etihad Stadium to face Man City after the international break in their most important league game of 2023-24, and facing the defending champions without the 23-year-old will be a huge boost.

Pep Guardiola could be without Kevin de Bruyne for the game against the Gunners after the Belgium international midfielder was omitted from the Red Devils squad due to a knock, while Brazilian international goalkeeper Ederson is already ruled out.

Arsenal are top of the Premier League table heading into such a crucial game, but only a point separates them from Man City after 28 games.

A victory for the North Londoners on March 31 will give them a huge boost ahead of the final nine games of the campaign, and Guardiola will be praying Haaland and De Bruyne are available for selection that day.

The Norwegian striker has notched 18 goals and five assists in 23 Premier League games this term, while the Belgian midfielder has two goals and 12 assists in 14 games across all competitions.

Arsenal also have injury problems of their own as Gabriel Magalhaes has withdrawn from international duty with Brazil due to an Achilles tendon issue, and the Gunners are monitoring it ahead of the Man City match.

Manager Mikel Arteta will hope it is not a serious injury given how important the South American has been to his defensive set-up this term, and both clubs will be keen for their stars to avoid any more injuries ahead of their game.
