Arsenal forward Charles Sagoe Jr is set to join Swansea City on loan until the end of the season, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
There is an agreement in place between both clubs given their cordial relationship as Gunners midfielder Charlie Patino is currently on loan with them.
Sagoe Jr will join Swansea on transfer deadline day tomorrow and will be keen to prove himself in the Championship having struggled for regular chances at Arsenal.
The Hale End academy graduate made his senior debut for the Gunners last September, starting their Carabao Cup game against Brentford.
Sagoe Jr has not featured for Arsenal since then and the loan move will do his development the world of good.
The attacking midfielder predominantly plays on the right, which is currently occupied by Bukayo Saka.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has not given the youth team players plenty of opportunities this term, and Amario Cozier-Duberry has also been linked with a permanent exit ahead of the summer transfer window.
He is attracting interest from Ajax, Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United and while suitors from the Championship and League One want to recruit his services on loan until the end of the season, he is expected to remain at Arsenal beyond the transfer deadline tomorrow.
However, Sagoe Jr will be moving and joining Patino at Swansea, and he could get plenty of playing opportunities to prove his quality ahead of next season.
Patino has made 24 appearances across all competitions for the Welsh club since joining them on a season-long loan last summer, weighing in with four goals and four assists, and Sagoe Jr will be desperate to make an impression there.
The 19-year-old has huge potential and Arsenal believe the loan move will get the best out of him as long as he gets to taste regular first-team football.
