Juventus send scouts to watch Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino in FA Cup action

Juventus will have scouts in attendance to watch Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino in action for Swansea City against Morecambe in the FA Cup third round, according to TuttoJuve.

The 20-year-old joined the Swans on a season-long loan last summer and he has been impressive for them with three goals and four assists from 20 appearances in all competitions.

Patino has been linked with a possible move to Turin over the past few days and it is now reported that the Bianconeri will have scouts at the Liberty Stadium to watch Patino’s display.

Nothing else is mentioned by the outlet but Juventus definitely seem to have an interest in the Gunners graduate, whose contract at the north London club expires in June 2025.

Patino could leave Arsenal this year

The midfielder’s previous contract was due to expire in June 2023, but the Gunners triggered an extension clause to keep him at the club until the summer of 2025.

David Ornstein claimed that Patino would leave on a permanent basis last summer but much to the surprise of many fans, he was sent out on another loan spell.

It now appears the Bianconeri are firm admirers of the youngster. Arsenal have set an asking price of €20 million for the youngster during the current transfer window.

If Juventus can’t afford the figure, a part-exchange deal could be proposed. The Gunners could utilise Patino as an incentive to land long-term target Dusan Vlahovic for a lesser sum.

Patino’s future is likely to be away from the Gunners unless he changes his stance and commits to a new long-term deal. As things stand, he could be sold in either January or in the summer.
