Gabriel Jesus stars for Arsenal in dramatic win vs Luton

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus produced one of his best performances of the season in Tuesday’s 4-3 comeback win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

The Brazil international has been in good form since returning from a hamstring injury and against the Hatters, he was heavily involved in the final third.

Jesus showed a strong physical presence up front and played a big role for the opening goal after forcing Thomas Kaminski into putting the ball out of play.

The 26-year-old immediately delivered a precise throw into the path of Bukayo Saka who went on to assist Gabriel Martinelli, who opened the scoring.

Just before the break, Jesus put the Gunners ahead for the second time in the game. He nodded a header into the net after an inch perfect cross from Ben White.

In the second half, the Hatters took a surprise 3-2 lead after a couple of high-profile errors from David Raya, but the Gunners were able to save his blushes.

Jesus’ cushioned header into the path of Kai Havertz led to the equaliser at the hour mark.

With seconds left before the referee’s whistle, Declan Rice sealed a dramatic win for the Gunners after a quality cross from captain Martin Odegaard into the box.

In our view, Jesus was the stand-out performer. He registered a goal and an assist and was also heavily involved in creating the opening goal for the Gunners.

Aside from his goal involvements, he completed 31 out of his 33 passes with an accuracy of 95 per cent. He made five key passes and won five duels and 2 take-ons.

It was definitely one of his best performances of the campaign alongside the Sevilla game. The fans will be hoping that he can carry on with the impressive form.
