AC Milan are interested in signing Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior during the January transfer window, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Poland international joined the Gunners from Serie A club Spezia in January 2023 and has featured in 14 games across all competitions since then.
Milan want to sign Kiwior on a loan deal and could look to include an option to buy in the deal if Arsenal are open to the idea.
The versatile 23-year-old has started two league games this term and has found it difficult to play regularly.
Milan were keen on the Pole during his time at Spezia and are hoping they can lure him back to Italy with the promise of regular football.
Sevilla were interested in signing Kiwior on loan during the summer transfer window, but Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta blocked the move.
The Spaniard admitted in May that he signed the defender because he really likes him and due to his potential to be a great player, so it could be hard for him to let him leave on loan during the winter transfer window.
The games will start to pile up in the coming weeks, and while the Gunners are no longer in the Carabao Cup after suffering a 3-1 loss to West Ham United in the fourth round of the competition on Wednesday, the FA Cup will start soon and quality squad depth is needed.
Kiwior can feature at left-back and centre-back, and he also used to play as a defensive midfielder at his former club, so losing such a player right now could be a real blow for a team in pursuit of major silverware.
Joining Milan temporarily could appeal to the Polish star as the 19-time Serie A champions are challenging for the title.
He will also fancy his chances of breaking into their starting line-up, but it remains to be seen if Arsenal will sanction an exit.
