Arsenal came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard ensuring the Gunners remained unbeaten in the 2023-24 Premier League campaign after nine games.
Bukayo Saka was handed the captain’s armband after Martin Odegaard was withdrawn in the 78th minute, and the Hale End academy graduate was pleased to be the Arsenal skipper for a few minutes.
He took to Instagram on Sunday afternoon to express how honoured he is to captain the North London club, and some of his teammates, including Declan Rice took to the comment section to react.

Having been at Arsenal since he was seven years old, the England international forward is a huge fan of the club through and through, and playing as a skipper in their colours would have been a very proud moment for the youngster.
Saka could soon be leading the team out as their captain if manager Mikel Arteta decides to rest Odegaard or if the Norwegian midfielder is unavailable for selection going forward.
Becoming the permanent captain is unlikely to be at the top of his dreams for now, but he has what it takes to become one of the leaders in the dressing room despite his age.
Spending the entirety of his career at Arsenal is likely to appeal to Saka, and keeping such a player for as long as possible is necessary.
The 22-year-old has maintained his fine form in the attacking third this term after ending last term with 14 goals and 11 assists in 38 Premier League games, with four league goals and three assists to his name in eight appearances.
Saka missed the game against Manchester City due to an injury but has since gotten fully fit and will be desperate to help Arsenal to their first league title since 2004 this term.
