Premier League injury expert Ben Dinnery has confirmed that Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah picked up a knock against Fulham.
The Englishman came off the bench for the second 45 minutes and put the Gunners ahead two minutes after Bukayo Saka drew them level from the spot.
Joao Palhinha’s 87th-minute equaliser denied Arsenal a third consecutive Premier League win, and it appears they have been dealt another blow apart from the two points they dropped.
A fan account posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Nketiah had picked up a knee injury and will be assessed in the next few days, and Dinnery confirmed it on his account.
Dinnery is the founder of Premier Injuries, a website used to track and record injury data for the English top-flight and is regarded as the “country’s leading data injury analyst”.
He also works for The Athletic and would not have made his claim if he had not gotten concrete information.
He believes the 24-year-old should be available for selection when Arsenal take on Manchester United next weekend before the international break.
The Gunners will hope the knock is not a serious one and Nketiah should be back when action resumes on September 16 even if he misses the game against the Red Devils.
Arsenal were handed an injury boost as Gabriel Jesus returned from injury and made his first appearance of the season off the bench.
The Brazil international striker spent just a few minutes on the pitch after coming on for Declan Rice, and he should be ready to start next weekend.
Manager Mikel Arteta opted to start Leandro Trossard as the number 9, but the Belgian could not have any impact on the game.
The Gunners will be desperate to get a win against Man United and head into the break on the back of a victory, and the boss will not be short of options to lead his attack even if Nketiah misses out.
