Arsenal are keen on signing Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder Martin Baturina, reports the Daily Express.
The 20-year-old has earned comparisons with Luka Modric due to his ability on the ball, and he has also attracted Barcelona.
Arsenal had scouts watching out for hidden gems at the recent under-21 European Championship, and Baturina caught their eyes.
The Gunners hold the youngster in high regard and he has already established himself as a regular for Zagreb.
Baturina bagged six goals and weighed in with 13 assists in 48 games across all competitions for the SuperSport HNL side last term.
Arsenal were first attracted to the Croatian youngster when they were running the rule over his club teammate Josip Sutalo last term.
Baturina is also attracting Italian and Bundesliga clubs and is currently valued between £10 and £15 million after signing a new deal in April.
However, Dinamo could listen to offers slightly short of that valuation, but whether Arsenal have plans to firm up their interest with an offer remains to be seen.
The Gunners are currently focusing on trimming Mikel Arteta’s squad before making any further additions this summer having spent over £200m so far.
